About Us
We are a family run, home-based business located near Stony Mountain, Manitoba, Canada.
Elsie, at 94 is our inspiration. She has a passion for art, creativity and life. She is an artist and teacher and happy with her role as “silent partner” in this project. We all aspire to be as awesome as she is some day!
Jackie has been involved with fibre for many years – knitting, weaving and spinning. She is currently working towards her Master Spinning Certificate at Old College in Alberta. She owns Angora goats and enjoys working with her own mohair as well as experimenting with other types of fibres. Jackie is also “president” of a small spinning group, who enjoy meeting as often as possible to spin, chat, and brainstorm about the next fibre adventure! She is the administrator and will be doing the “paperwork” for the company long distance from the beautiful interior mountains of British Columbia.
Michelle will be doing the actual running of the mill with help from her daughter, Hannah. Michelle owns Alpacas, and loves fibre, pottery, painting, knitting, etc. etc. She is a self-admitted “jack of all trades, master of none”. Life is a learning process and she looks forward to the journey!
Hannah is the “hired help”. She is a huge asset to the business. She is a natural spinner, beginner knitter, artist, athlete, and always, the hope for the future.
So there you have it - four generations of women, each very different and yet very much the same. We are all looking forward to this new endeavour and to helping you achieve beautiful results with your fibre.
